When is the best time for your Instagram post?
Most Instagram users use the platform via their smartphone, which is why they tend to visit Instagram outside of average working hours. This means that, on average, most of your followers are online between 11:00 and 13:00 or in the evening from 19:00.
However, you should also consider which target group you want to reach. If you have a B2B profile, visitors may also be interested in your posts during working hours. Do you entertain your followers with great portrait photos? Your posts could attract the most attention in the evening, as shallow, purely visual relaxation works best after work. Do you write informative and exciting captions? A crisp portion of interesting facts fits wonderfully into every lunch break!
Try to think about when your content works best and when the people you want to reach are online!
If you have a professional profile, Instagram Insights will help you. Under Target group and Subscribers, you can see when your followers are online.
Why is the time important? It's simple: the more visitors react to your content in a short space of time, the higher the algorithm ranks the relevance of your post. You should therefore post at a time when your followers are online.
